Tool ReviewAfterer Available For Hire

By Mike Estes'

Recently I was asked to assist in removing Scotch broom on a local Hood River Recreation Work Party, during this volunteer event I discovered a new tool called the Weed Wrench. I was instantly smitten with how well it worked, it was really fun to remove this invasive and noxious weed. We pulled over a 100 woody plants and piled them up.

So, to make a long story shorter, I convinced the owner of the motel I caretake to purchase one. We have 5 acres and 1/3rd of if has Scottsbroom. Upon reciept of the wrench I went to work. Its a brilliant tool and the inventor should be proud. Simple to assemble. They come in several sizes ranging from 'Heavy' (2.5 diameter roots) to a Mini (1 inch roots) offering an 18/1 leverage ratio for yanking anything outta the ground. I highly recommend using eye protection as debris will get you when using it because this thing is fun to use. Yeah, FUN TO USE!

If you have a need to hire me and the Weed Wrench to clear your property you can contact me at estesnw@gmail.com and I can come over to your house- remove some nasty eye sores easily

The Cats' Meow

I gave a medium WW to my gardener a few years ago. He and his crew think it is the cat's meow! Not only does it save time but more importantly saves straining their backs. They all LOVE it. This order is for my son who manages a tree farm. He asked for it as a Xmas present.

KATV video1st Annual Weed Smackdown

I'm not sure if anyone's been in contact about the Anchorage Weed Smackdown event this past weekend - but your weed wrenches performed BEAUTIFULLY. Here's a link to a local news video -

One Metre Cassis No Match for Weed Wrench

It just needs a nice smooth pressure and out they pop! That 1 metre cassis in the photo by the old truck would have taken at least 10-15 minutes crowbarring, but WW pulled it straight out, and see how cleanly all the roots came out! And then I managed to get the jaws on to the base of that weed growing up thru the multiplying palm, and bingo! it was gone. I love it!!!

Tom ought to be in the gardening hall of fame!

Cheers!

Science Class Attacks French Broom

Mr. Rickett's Science Class Weed Wrenchers

Thanks for your great tools!

Our Outdoor Science School has been waging an ongoing battle with the invasive shrub French Broom for several years now. A few months ago we ordered 2 Weed Wrenches, and quickly put them to work. The wrenches are very popular with our students and really speed up the pulling process! Recently one of our naturalists was out using a wrench, when a local resident walked by. The resident was so impressed with your tool, and our habitat restoration program, that they whipped out their check book and wrote us a check to buy 2 more weed wrenches.

I believe the box with our new wrenches just arrived, so we now have 4 on the job. Attached is a photo of one of our recent victims, one of the largest we've tried to tackle. The wrench did most of the work, with a little digging by the students at the end. When measured, the French Broom was 24 feet tall, 10 inch diameter. The only problem we've had with the wrenches so far is the base bar tends to sink into our sandy soil when a lot of torque is applied.

Thanks again!

John Ricketts, Assistant Director
Mount Hermon Outdoor Science School

Japanese Honeysuckle, Fast, Easy...and FUN!

I just wanted to thank you for your terrific product and excellent customer service. I recently ordered a medium-sized Weed Wrench, and you filled my order immediately. The Weed Wrench is a fantastic tool: my husband has already cleared huge patches of invasive Japanese honeysuckle from our property. He’s accomplished in just a couple of hours what would have taken days with other tools. And the Weed Wrench is so much easier to use than any other method of shrub removal we’ve tried. I confess I didn’t believe your claims that using the Weed Wrench is fun — but it really is! My husband just loves using the Weed Wrench. Thanks for sharing such a great invention.

Sincerely yours,
Marjorie Swann, Lawrence, KS

Very Impressed

Weed Wrench Guy,

My wife and I purchased an acreage a few years ago. There are several acres that have been taken over by dog wood like brush. We have been using spades to cut the brush off below ground, which has been a hard and difficult job. I was on my third spade. I was not breaking the handles but splitting the steel blades on the hard stems. I had been searching the internet for a better spade when I stumbled across your web site. Your tool sure looked like it would work so I thought I would give it a try. It arrived late yesterday afternoon so I had to go out and use it. I worked until dark pulling dog woods. It sure works better than that old spade and it’s a whole lot easier on my old body. This is the tool that I need! I am also very impressed with the quality construction of the Weed Wrench.

Thanks so much!
Ron Nissen

Thanks for Making a Good Tool that Lives Up To Its Promise

The WeedWrench has been a great tool to take care of some long neglected flower beds and natural areas where I let saplings grow bigger than I could pull by hand, but were too small for the tractor and a chain. I realized I could move quickly through a natural area. The WW is so easy and fast to use, I realized I had to stop "gophering" everytime I pulled up a new sapling and just come back and pick up them up all at once! Thank you for making a good tool that lives up its promise! I can see this is one tool that will last my lifetime and then some!

Sincerely,
Paul Lambrecht, Summerfield, NC
